On Tuesday our pre-school children had lots of fun making their own toast. We used a cutter to create fun shapes from our bread, toasted it until golden, and then spread butter on top. 🧈

The children really enjoyed being involved in each step and, of course, tasting their delicious creations.😋

A lovely hands-on activity helping to develop independence and practical skills. 💛

📸 A little change to how we take photos at Talbot View Pre-School

We wanted to let our families know that we are making a small change to the way we take and share photographs on our social media.

To help protect the privacy of our children, we will now be taking photographs from behind or at angles where children’s faces are not visible. Where this isn’t possible, faces will be carefully blurred before photographs are shared.

We still want to capture and celebrate all the lovely experiences, activities and memories the children enjoy at Talbot View Pre-School, while making sure we continue to respect every child’s privacy. ❤️

🌟 Come Talk With Me – Tip of the Month🌟

🗣️ This month’s tip: CHOICES

Giving your child simple choices is a great way to encourage communication, build confidence, and help them feel involved.

Instead of asking an open-ended question like, “What do you want to wear?”, try offering two choices:

👕 “Would you like the blue top or the red top?”
🍎 “Would you like an apple or a banana?”
📚 “Shall we read this book or that book?”

✨ Top tip: Hold up or point to the choices while you ask. Give your child plenty of time to respond they can answer using words, sounds, gestures, pointing, or facial expressions.

Remember, choices don't have to be big. Two simple options can create lots of opportunities for your child to communicate. 💬❤️

🎓 Graduation Day at Talbot View Pre-School 🎓

To the class of 2026...
Today we celebrated the graduation of our wonderful children as they get ready to begin their next adventure at school. We are so proud of everything they have achieved during their time with us and it has been a privilege to watch them learn, grow, and flourish.

We wish each and every one of our graduates the very best of luck as they start this exciting new chapter. We will miss you all dearly and will always treasure the special memories we've made together.

A heartfelt thank you to all our families for your continued support, trust and kindness throughout your child's journey with us. It has meant so much to us and we wish you all the very best for the future.

☀️ Pre-school Water Pool Play ☀️

Our pre-school children had a fantastic time enjoying water pool play on Tuesday and Wednesday. They splashed, laughed, explored, and stayed cool while developing their confidence, co-ordination and social skills through fun water activities.

The children especially enjoyed getting the staff wet and there were lots of smiles and laughter all around 💦😊

What a wonderful couple of days filled with fun, learning, and happy memories.

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our planned water play activities, we kindly ask that if your child attends pre-school on a Tuesday and/or Wednesday, they come with their swimwear on the following dates:

Tuesday 14th July
Wednesday 15th July

Please ensure your child brings:

Swimwear
A towel
A named bag for wet clothing

If your child requires a swim nappy, please provide one for each session, as these are essential for taking part in the activities.

We recommend that all items are clearly labelled with your child's name.

Thank you for your support. We are looking forward to two fun filled days of water play.

🎓 School Leavers Graduation Reminder 🎓

A gentle reminder to all parents and carers of our school leavers that our Graduation Ceremony will take place on Monday 13th July at 9:00am. We can't wait to celebrate this special milestone with our wonderful children and their families🌟

If you haven't already done so, please return your acceptance slip to pre-school as soon as possible so we can finalise our arrangements.

🚦 Road Safety Awareness 🚦Part 2

On Wednesday, the children at Talbot View Pre-School enjoyed a road safety session delivered by BCP Transport Services.

The children learned about staying safe near roads, the importance of holding hands with an adult, using pedestrian crossings, and stopping, look, listen and think before crossing safely.

Learning about road safety from an early age helps children develop important skills and awareness that will keep them safe as they grow.

A big thank you to BCP Transport Services for providing such an engaging and informative session for our children😊
