We have had some great 'Dress Up Tuesday' photos - the weather wasn't great but some of you managed to dodge the showers (and some of you managed a dress up walk before Tuesday). We spent the morning making pirate hats and eye patches before going out on a little adventure.

We hope you have had a lovely weekend and that you are all keeping well and safe. The nursery is quiet with just a few little voices and still lots of laughter and fun. We have enjoyed seeing what many of you are doing and love the updates. We have had some super ideas of activities coming in, including a milk carton Elmer the elephant; a milk carton bird house; salt dough creations and using a cut-down water bottle with a sock on the end as a bubble blower. Thank you so much for keeping in touch and sharing your super ideas.

The advice recommended by the government is not to panic and follow good hygiene practices.

We are taking part in Coeliac Awareness week this week and have a display in the entrance area illustrating the symptoms one of our children suffered until he went on a gluten free diet. Although the 3 and 4 year olds were aware that he has to have special breads and crackers, it is lovely to see them stopping and looking at the pictures and understanding WHY he has to avoid gluten. Some of the children even make links to members of their family who may have different dietry requirements. Thank you for sharing your story with us, Hudson. 🙂

If anyone would like a really good start to Easter Sunday - or any other Sunday - we recommend Junior Parkrun (for 4 to 14 year olds), 9am at Par Track. It’s great fun! If you would like to come, please see the link below. Happy Easter!

It is a 2k event for juniors only (4-14 year olds). If you are not a junior please try one of our weekly Saturday parkrun events instead.

We have had a wonderful day today being 'Wild Things' with Kernow Outdoor Learning. The children started off by listening to the story "Where the Wild Things Are" and thoroughly enjoyed joining in with actions and sounds (lots of roars!) If you look carefully in the trees you will see some wild faces and monsters made out of clay by the children. Learning all about being safe around a fire, trying to make their own sparks and the ultimate joy of toasting marshmallows were a few of the activities on offer.
