Hello,
I have limited availability for new students from this September, and I would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to learn or improve their French. All ages and abilities welcome. I offer in-person lessons in Par, Cornwall, as well as online lessons using Zoom or Microsoft Teams. 1:1 and group classes are available. I plan lessons according to individual requirements and focus on creating a supportive and friendly learning environment.

Hello,

Are you preparing to take GCSE French in 2023?

Would you benefit from support with your spoken and written French?

If so, you may like to secure a place on one of my new revision courses beginning this January. I am beginning a group lesson online on Wednesday, 9th January from 6:00 to 7:15 and also have limited availability for individual lessons at my home or online if preferred.

I will support you to produce high-level paragraphs, a skill needed for both the writing examination AND for preparation for the speaking exam. This will involve a focus on pronunciation, tenses, phrases, translations and we will revise key topic vocabulary.

Lessons are well-prepared and relevant and are delivered in a supportive, fun way. I mark for the AQA exam board and have taught French GCSE in a local school for many years up to summer 2022.

Are you preparing to take GCSE French in 2023 or 2024?

Would you benefit from support to produce excellent pieces of writing in French and to include the right ingredients to aim for top grades?

If so, you may like to secure a place on a new 10-week course beginning on Monday, the 14th of November. Lessons are online via Zoom from 4.30 - 5.45 each week.

This course will support students to produce high-level paragraphs, a skill needed for both the writing examination AND for preparation for the speaking exam.

05/12/2022 - Future tense
12/12/2022 - Direct and Indirect Pronouns
09/01/2023 - Perfect tense with avoir
16/01/2023 - Perfect tense with être
23/01/2023 - Imperfect tense
30/01/2023 - Conditional tense
06/02/2023 - How to use a variety of tenses and higher level phrases to enhance your writing

For students who are aiming high or considering A Level or IB French, I would be happy to offer a supplementary lesson (or two) on the subjunctive.
