Swim Tots is back in our 25m indoor heated pool from Friday 11 September! Our adult and toddler swimming lessons are perfect for children aged 1 to 4 years, helping to build water confidence and early swimming skills in a fun, supportive environment. Sessions run every Friday during term time (excluding selected dates listed online) from 10.30am to 11.00am and cost £5 per session. Book via the link in our bio. 🏊‍♀️💦

What happens when our pupils are given a real-life architectural brief?

Over six weeks, our Prep School pupils put their creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills to the test, designing dining and sports viewing pavilions for a real site at St Andrew's following a professional brief from James Galpin of HMY Architects.

From 3D printing and LEGO to detailed scale models and mood boards, their imaginative concepts were presented to a visiting judge and fellow HMY Architect, Shandri van Rooyan.

Our talented musicians — alongside some dancers — struck a high note in our final week of term with a fantastic performance at ’s ‘Greeker’. Guided by our Director of Music, Liz Croft, and supported by our dedicated peripatetic teachers, pupils performed to an appreciative audience of family, friends and staff, who enjoyed the uplifting sounds in the sunshine. A huge thank you to Liz Croft and our music department for rounding off the 2025–2026 academic year so positively. 🎶☀️

Our Sculpture Club has been inspired by the work of Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti, exploring his signature tall, slender figures to express both strength and vulnerability. A wonderful celebration of creativity. We also bid a fond farewell to our Head of Art, Tim Hay – thank you for inspiring a lifelong love of art in our children. 🎨✨

Some of our Nursery Acorns and Oaks, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children spent a fun morning getting to know their Head of Pre-Prep, Tracey McVey, a little better - and they certainly came armed with plenty of questions.

Last Friday marked the end of term and the academic year – and what a joyful celebration it was.  Our Prep School pupils, parents and staff came together for Speech Day, and heard from Guest speaker Ms. Elizabeth Stone, Headmaster of Wi******er College, and our Head Boy and Head Girl. Head Master, Ed Graham, recapped on the highlights and successes of the academic year, and our talented musicians entertained the audience with a splash of uplifting performances. The occasion was a fitting farewell for our Year 8, who now embark upon their next educational chapter at senior school. Wishing you all a very happy and sunny summer break! 🌟☀️ Wi******er College

Pre-Prep Speech Day was a joyful celebration of a year filled with creativity, growth and achievement. Our pupils delighted parents with their poetry and music, bringing the Performing Arts Centre to life. We also took a moment to thank Karin Carter Keall for her dedication to St Andrew’s over the years. A wonderful way to celebrate our pupils and round off a very special year. ✨🎓

Exciting news! We are thrilled to share that following our recent PSB (Pre-Senior Baccalaureate) audit, St Andrew’s has been awarded Flagship School status by the – one of only two schools to ever receive this prestigious recognition.

This award is a real reflection of the passion, commitment and hard work that has gone into embedding the framework across the school. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to our wonderful community — pupils, staff and families — for embracing the PSB philosophy so wholeheartedly. Great independence, teamwork, resilience and collaboration were on full display as our Year 3–8 pupils took part in the 2026 St Andrew’s Sports Day last Saturday.
Our track and field came alive with yellow, blue, red and green as Watney, Pritchard, Rainsford and Waterhouse battled for the top spot. Thank you to our families for their energy and support, and to our Director of Sport, James Mortimore, Assistant Director of Sport, Chloe Henderson, our Prep School staff and our catering team for delivering such a fantastic event. Congratulations to Watney (Yellow), our 2026 champions! 🏃‍♂️🎉
