UWS ESL students arrived safely at Artevelde University of Applied Sciences 🇧🇪 located in beautiful city of Ghent to attend the Bridges in Education Spring Programme focusing on International concepts relating to education and care within European context. Si Chen
attending study group for Education and Policy Making in an International Perspective in youth care. Also, all three got an insight in Family Day event at Royal Palace in Brussels.

UWS Aircraft Engineering student applying what he learnt in his French class whilst on placement in Ecole St Charles Montbrison 🇫🇷 Very pleasing to see that he is fully embracing French language and culture. Also participated in the French VE Day and visited Grenoble. Absolutely delighted to hear his listening and speaking skills are improving rapidly.

Day 5 - Comenius International Study Week at University of the West of Scotland

A real sense of achievement having hosted our first Comenius International Study Week at UWS for 15 European students + some of our International students. Grateful thanks to my colleague Martin Mullen who has helped me to organise this event from start to finish. Our Comenius Event has now come to an end with these last photos taken at some favourite awesome scenic spots of mine!

All 23 of us went ascending up Conic Hill in Balmaha on Friday morning in typical Scottish weather conditions which added a little je ne sais quoi 😜😝😉 then we were on our way to Inveraray!

Grateful thanks to the 4 local primary & nursery schools who have warmly welcomed our Comenius students to enhance their learning and teaching experiences at Todholm, Wallace, West & Ralston. Students got a very worthwhile insight into Scottish Primary & Nursery Education. 📚🙏
