Today we say goodbye to an absolute hair god.

Dolly Parton wasn’t just a music legend — she was a true icon of hair, glamour and unapologetic style.

Those big, beautiful, gravity-defying hairstyles became part of her identity, and decades later we are STILL recreating those looks in the Haus today!

From the volume to the curls, Dolly showed us that hair could be bold, fun and completely your own.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the memories and, of course, the HAIR.

To now have our work recognised with an Education Excellence Award means more to us than we can put into words.

What a busy Monday at Haus Of Seisay!

We had Fraser popping in from The Promise Scotland, which was lovely, before Jodie took over and got stuck in teaching all of our learners. We absolutely love having Jodie in the Haus and the knowledge, skills and support she brings to our learners is amazing.

And then there was our wee Robyn, getting her glam on and getting ready for the The UK Hair and Beauty Awards in Manchester on Saturday. We cannot wait to see her all dressed up and representing Haus Of Seisay.

From learning and development to getting red-carpet ready, it’s certainly been a busy one in the Haus.

✨ BIG NEWS FROM HAUS OF SEISAY! ✨

We are incredibly proud to share that Haus Of Seisay has been awarded £96,500 from the National Lottery Young Start Fund! 🎉

This amazing funding, awarded over the next two years, will allow us to expand our life-changing work with care-experienced young people across Scotland.

More than 40 young people will have the opportunity to gain industry-recognised Qualifications Scotland SVQs, develop practical hairdressing skills, receive wellbeing and mentoring support, and build the confidence they need to thrive.

Since opening our doors in 2022, our mission has always been simple: to break down barriers and create opportunities for care-experienced young people. This funding means we can reach even more young people, helping them progress into education, apprenticeships and meaningful careers.

Our Founder, Thomas Seisay, said:
"This funding is a hugely important milestone for Haus Of Seisay. It recognises the impact of our work and gives us the opportunity to support even more young people to believe in themselves, gain qualifications and build brighter futures. Every young person deserves the chance to succeed, and we're incredibly grateful to the National Lottery Young Start Fund for making that possible."

🌟 2026 has been an incredible year for Haus Of Seisay. Alongside this significant funding award, we have been honoured to be featured in Creative HEAD Magazine and The Salon Magazine, helping to shine a spotlight on our unique approach to supporting care-experienced young people through hairdressing education.

We're also incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for the Education Excellence Award at the The UK Hair and Beauty Awards in Manchester.

These achievements are not just recognition for our charity—they are recognition of the resilience, talent and potential of the care-experienced young people we work alongside every day. Together, we are breaking down barriers, challenging stigma and showing what is possible when young people are given the right opportunities.
