A week of joy 🥰

It’s been a busy week but it’s been wonderfully busy. I am forever grateful to have weeks like this where I’m able to spend my time making others happy and making memories with my family 💕 Oh and a first aid course thrown in for good measure 🩹

Tomorrow is our Neurodivergent Home Ed group! We understand that many of the children who usually attend our groups will have siblings at home due to it being the summer holidays. Non-home educated children are also very welcome to come to our group 🌻

Also- the road outside of The Sunshine Hub is closed due to road works. We are still open and you can get to us, it’s just closed to cars 🚗

I’ve spent my Sunday evening creating a variety of communication aids ready for our Summer Club!

This week is going to be a busy one-

🎶 I’m off to Cardiff on Thursday,
❓ Friday I’m sure had something but I can’t remember…
💍 and Saturday I’m at my best friend’s wedding 🩷

I’m sure I’ll be exhausted but I love a busy week, especially when it’s full of exciting things ✨

We’ve got some exciting news.. this summer we will be offering a SEND Summer Club! 🤩☀️

This is a drop off provision for up to 4 children, aged 5-14, with various dates available. We will be offering a variety of activities, all low-demand of course, ranging from messy play to crafts and cooking! 🎨🍳

Booking is now live on the website for these sessions, please ensure you book early to avoid missing out. We are also working on adding this to the Virtual Wallet, so you can use your Direct Payments to pay- if you would like to reserve a space whilst we’re getting Virtual Wallet set up, please email us at [email protected].

Please note- we are not wheelchair accessible and have a staircase at the entrance of The Sunshine Hub.

Our littlest Sunshine is 2 today 🌻☀️ We were closed today so we could take a visit to Wildwood Devon to see the bears 🐻

We have a couple of pre-summer club visits this week and then next week we’re back in the swing of things ✨

Our group was very busy this week! It’s so lovely to see our wonderful Sunshine Hub being used to its full potential ☀️
We had a new toy to explore, Fat Brain Toys AirToobz, it was hugely popular! Some of the boys spent the entire session building different circuits for the balls to rush through, it was the perfect toy to combine STEM learning with play 💨

There is no Home Ed Group next week, 22nd July, as it’s my daughter’s 2nd birthday 🥰

🌻 Tomorrow’s Home Ed Club 🌻

We will have all of our usual crafty activities, Hama Beads, Train tracks, Lego, Air Hockey, Magnetic Tiles and more!

⭐️ Plus this week’s sensory activity… Edible Orbeez. The texture of the water beads is so good but the temptation to eat them is pretty high, these are made from Tapioca pearls (used in bubble tea) so they’re completely safe to eat! ⭐️

I’ve always loved the Spoon Theory, it’s such a good visual way to understand energy levels and the different ways in which our energy is spent 🥄🌻
