After training for 40 years and teaching for probably 20 I've come to realise that being an instructor I've never called myself sensei is a thankless job,
I can remember my previous instructors supporting me in my compititions and gradings and taking them for granted. Out of experience I've come to realise that you should never take them for granted as you never know how long they will be around. Especially the knowledge and experience they have and the passion and effort they put into there students the ones with pedigree I'm talking about. It would be nice to be appreciated once and a while just saying.
