Little Squirrels Forest School

We had a learner at the previous Tuesday session come for a free trial.

She sat by the fire with a leader, helping to cook pancakes and eating apples slices she had help to cut up.

She squealed with delight and said several times "this is the best day of my life! I love everything here!".

It was the first time she had helped to make a fire.
It was the first time she made pancakes.
It was the first time she had tried golden syrup INSIDE pancake batter...
It was the second time she was allowed to use "a big knife" to help chop food..
Lots of exciting experiences and a full day to remember!

Summer Solstice is fast approaching.

Have you booked your spaces for our Summer Solstice celebration on the 20th June 10-12 at Parkfield?
We also have a free taster session 12-3pm with tea and cake in exchange for some helping hands with land work and a play on site!

Tomorrow the Tribe home ed group are meeting 10.30-12.30 at Goodrington Sands. Anyone welome- meeting at the play area then going onto the beach after.

Yestedays sessions at Primley Woods, Paignton looked like:

🍽 Cooking pancakes and elderflower pancakes. Learners helped to create the fire, made the batter and helped with cooking.
😁 New faces, new connections, interesting facts being shared about jets and farts.
♟️Playing Kubb and lots of Tag.
🌳 Learners were creative using what they found in the Forest, making a tee p*e, a shop, a bench, a giant cross bow.

Nature is full of surprises! While out in the woods, we spot all sorts of interesting things hidden in plain sight.
