Mama Bear's Day Nursery Long Road, Paignton

At our Long Road Nursery in Paignton we have created a new reading area within our Preschool room.
A lovely quiet area for children to access books and explore pictures and sounds. As practitioners we understand how important it is to encourage a love of books from an early age. In response to a strong interest in books the Preschool room we have enhanced the reading area. The children are all engaging with this and are enjoying a cosy space which we all are benefitting from. This supports our book of the month topics too. If your child has a particular favourite book please share with us and we will be able to enjoy as a theme altogether.

This month the Bouncies at our Long Road Nursery in Paignton have been exceptional explorers.
They have been using different materials to create butterflies and other insects to decorate their room.
We have been looking at what grows in Spring, including plants, animals and us.
We have also been gifted some real life Caterpillars to watch grow into butterflies. The Bouncies have also helped to plant some sunflower seeds ready to watch them grow. 🦋🌻

At our Long Road Nursery in Paignton this month's theme in the Bouncy room has been 'I wonder how it grows.'
We have been using our new story sacks to involve the children more within our story times. The children were very intrigued by all the props.
They were each able to name their animal and guessed what colour they were.

The babies at our Long Road Nursery in Paignton have been using all their senses exploring sensory bags filled with lots of different resources.
We also had jelly and porridge play which the babies have enjoyed touching and safely tasting.

At our Long Road Nursery in Paignton the Preschool class have been 'Masters of Maths'.
We have been celebrating World Maths Day; exploring all the different fun things to do with maths. The children have been sorting fruits out into different colours, they also have been exploring patterns using a dot to dot activity sheet.
They enjoyed filling and emptying water out different amounts of water using some Easter themed containers.

The babies at our Long Road Nursery in Paignton have been independent individuals and talented tool users through brushing our teeth and using a toothbrush.
We have been given a quality assurance assessment certificate to show how well our babies have performed and how much they have been participating within the last couple of months.
