π₯π This week has been very exciting in Key Stage 1! π π₯
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Families joined us for our Insite session, where parents and carers were invited 'onsite' to gain an 'insight' into their childrenβs learning.
To round off their topic on the Great Fire of London, the children designed and created their very own houses. Today, they brought their learning to life by recreating the βGreat Fire of Roselandsβ π₯, watching how the fire spread from house to house and exploring why the fire travelled so quickly.
π€© It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that helped the children deepen their understanding of this significant historical event while having lots of fun along the way!
π Well done, Key Stage 1!

Foot Painting in Reception! π£π¨
This week, EYFS have been learning about our bodies and were amazed to find out that some artists paint with their feet⦠so we gave it a go!
It was wonderfully messy, but there was serious science behind the fun. While this activity built core strength, balance, and spatial awareness, it also gave their brains a massive workout.
Neuroscience research shows that introducing complex tasks like holding a brush with toes forces the brain to rewire itself. It creates brand-new neural pathways (called neuroplasticity), mapping out individual toes in the brain much like it maps out our fingers!
Thank you for your patience with any colourful socks that made it home, it was entirely worth it for the extra brainpower!
