All big 'thank you' to all the students, family, friends and guests who joined us at our Summer Seasons Exhibition on Saturday 8th July. What a lovely sunny afternoon we had to enjoy the amazing art work created during the course - it really was a fitting finale.
Again, a big thank you to Julia, our tutor, for all her hard work.

It's our Exhibition next week - Saturday 18th July from 2 to 4pm at Bay Church Hall. All welcome :)

Walkies! A wooftastic project this week at Seasons Art Class Paignton with a hint of cool water as we enjoyed painting pampered pooches playing in the sea. Lots of acrylic paint in use, with some choosing to use palette knives and bits of credit card to create texture and movement on the page. Great work everyone!
If you like the look of this and you're interested in joining us for the next Seasons course in the Autumn, drop me a message and I'll send the details 😊

A new swashbuckling adventure for the whole class this week Seasons Art Class Paignton with an acrylic piece worked on a gesso paper collage. Some fantastic effects and textures were achieved using old newspaper and class handouts. Really great work everyone!
Enjoy the pictures of the cooling water too, this may help stop you melting in the current weather!

A gorgeous whole class project this week Seasons Art Class Paignton - patio pots! The skill of building colour and layering the paint is key to this project, plus the laying down of shadows and the use of masking fluid to reserve areas. A lovely summer walk through the garden - a fitting end to our watercolour painting weeks! Good work everyone :)
Roll on acrylic painting - old clothes only!

Classes full of holiday inspired pieces this week at with a street scene and tram plus some delicious Amalfi lemons - gorgeous! The urban sketching saw watercolour paints worked with fine liner pen, which brought definition to an illustrative piece. The painterly technique of working layers of colour was demonstrated with the lemons. Great work everyone!
