Level 3 Health and Social Care students have recently returned from an incredible Turing Scheme trip to Hanoi, Vietnam 🇻🇳, and we are still reflecting on what has been such a memorable experience.

During our time there, we volunteered at the Friendship Village, a centre supporting veterans, as well as children and adults affected by Agent Orange following the war with the US.

The experience has had a profound impact on us, and we were privileged to build meaningful connections with the children and adults we volunteered with.

As well as volunteering, we learnt about Vietnamese history and culture, explored the vibrant city of Hanoi, enjoyed meals with our amazing hosts from Volunteering for Peace Vietnam, and visited the beautiful Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay, both of which were unforgettable highlights of the trip 🚣🏻⛴️🏞️

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and helped make this opportunity possible.

Goodbyes are hard, but our experience volunteering through brought us lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

We spent our final evening with our hosts for a farewell dinner complete with thoughtful gifts from our hosts.
