Today we said our final farewell to our brilliant school leavers. We wish them all the very best on their next adventure, they are all so ready for it.

We also said “See you in September” to the rest of the children that will be returning to preschool. We are looking forward to continuing our journey with them all and meeting lots of new friends too.

Thank you to all the families for entrusting us with your children at such an important stage of their lives.

🎈 Preschool Leavers’ Party 2026! 🎈

Today we celebrated with our fabulous preschool leavers!

We enjoyed our party lunchboxes, made a butterfly wind chime to remind us that we are ready to fly, had fun with water balloons and the parachute and enjoyed an ice cream treat!

They are all so ready to spread their wings and fly off on their new adventures. Good luck everyone we will miss you all.

This week we enjoyed reading the book Oliver’s Vegetables. This led to discussions around the vegetables that the children enjoy and how they are super healthy for our bodies. The children loved making “vegetable soup” (using vegetables just past their best) in the garden with lots of safe chopping, pouring, mixing and pretending to serve to our friends! Maybe you could try some real vegetable soup at home! 😋 🥕 🥬 🥒

Another busy week at preschool with a touch of football fever! ❤️ ⚽️

This week has been all day staying cool and hydrated 😎!

We have been enjoying lots of water play in the shade followed by calm play in our cool room (we have never been so grateful for the air conditioning!).

Thank you to all parents for applying suncream, remembering the sun hats and bottles of cold water! It really has helped the children have a happy and comfortable week at preschool.

☀️ Sun Safety ☀️

The week ahead is looking super sunny and warm and we are looking forward to lots of fun in the sun (shade) with lots of water and ice play to keep us cool.

A few key things to remember…

☀️ Sun cream applied before preschool (if your child stays for the afternoon sessions then please provide a named bottle of suncream to reapply after lunch)

☀️ Sun hat (named) and in preschool every day

☀️ Bottle of water (named)- We will fill these up throughout the day as and when needed

☀️ Cool clothing with shoulders covered and sensible shoes

We will be inside in our air conditioned room during the hottest parts of the day. 👍🏼

Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning all about sunflowers. We each planted a seed to take home and grow. We learnt how to look after our sunflower and learnt new vocabulary including; seeds, petals, stem and root. 👏🏼

We also have some new very tiny friends at preschool- 10 very wriggly caterpillars! We are looking forward to watching them grow and change.

Next week we will be learning all about shapes and we would love you to go on a shape hunt at home, in your garden or in the local environment to see what shapes you can find.

We have loved learning about animals on the farm this week. We have been learning new vocabulary such as “lamb” “piglet” and “foal”.
