📣 Exciting news!! Brand- New Baby Unit opening September 2026 at our sister setting Go Outdoors Learning, Pre-School & Holiday Club in Burnley!!

We have a brand-new building opening from September offering term-time childcare for babies from 9months old in Burnley.

We are so excited to welcome Deanne to the team, our new Baby Unit Nursery Manager:

“A Little About Me:

My name is Deanne and I hold a Foundation Degree in Children Young People and Their services. I have over 22 years early years experience which I primarily spent working with children aged 0-2 years old. I’m so excited to be joining the Go Outdoors team and getting to know you and your wonderful children.

Working with young children is something I genuinely enjoy. I love seeing their curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow as they learn through play and everyday experiences. I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves.

My approach is to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I understand how important it is to know your child is happy, cared for, and supported while they’re at nursery. I aim to create a warm, nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and have fun.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family especially my partner and our 3 children, travelling in our motorhome, reading, music, walking and exploring new places. I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle and value opportunities for continued personal and professional development.

I’m looking forward to meeting you all, getting to know your children, and working together to help them have a happy, positive, and exciting early years experience.”

We’re delighted to share our Ofsted report, published recently, as we conclude another academic year. We’re incredibly proud of our team and their daily hard work.
We’ve achieved a Strong Standard in Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines, along with Inclusion.

Some highlights include:
- Relationships between staff and children are warm, caring and highly respectful
- There are very clear expectations for behaviour at the nursery, which all children understand.
- Leaders and staff know the children very well.
- Children are supported and encouraged to be as independent as possible… This means they are well prepared for their next steps, such as starting school.
- Children who face barriers in their learning are settled and able to learn because routines and expectations are predictable.
- Staff support children to recognise and express their emotions.
- Overall, children are well supported to develop an understanding of how to be healthy and safe.
- Leaders are reflective, knowledgeable and ambitious for the nursery, staff and children.
- Leaders are highly committed to continually improving what the nursery offers to children and families.
- Staff report that they are well supported by leaders who genuinely care about them.
- Staff are full of praise for their efforts. This demonstrates the respectful relationships among staff and children.

🦈 Shark Awareness Day 2026 🦈

Today was the perfect opportunity to inspire curiosity and discover real-world wonders with our shark-loving Woodlands children 🌊🐠🪸🦈

The children were in awe of the giant shark right in front of them, eagerly asking questions about it and the colourful coral and fish surrounding him 🌊🐠🪸🦈

Inspired by their underwater adventure, the children created a large-scale ocean scene. Using a variety of tools, materials, and plenty of hands-on messy play, they brought the deep blue sea straight into our beautiful garden 🌊🐠🪸🦈

✨ The Meadows ✨

The babies have enjoyed exploring light and playdough today 💡 🌹

They absolutely loved using their bare feet to connect with the squishy dough, leaving behind the most adorable little footprints 👣

From pulling, patting, and tearing the dough to teaming up to create a collaborative masterpiece right on the LED touch lamp, it was a day full of curiosity and connection 💡

Wow, it’s been an absolute scorcher of a week 🥵

We are incredibly lucky to have a beautiful, shaded garden, which has allowed us to keep the fun going both indoors and outdoors ☀️

We would like to give a massive shout-out to our staff team for keeping things running smoothly and working tirelessly to ensure everyone stayed as comfortable and safe as possible ♥️

⚽ World Cup fever has arrived ⚽

To celebrate England's first 2026 World Cup match, The Meadows and The Woodlands teamed up for an amazing football session in Memorial Park ⚽

The children showcased incredible footwork, scored some fantastic goals, and proudly waved their flags in delight 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽

✨ The Meadows ✨

Our babies in 'The Meadows' fully immersed themselves in World Ocean Day today! 🌊🐚

With mesmerising ocean videos projected on the wall and calming waves playing in the background, the scene was perfectly set for some large-scale painting 🖌️

The babies were absolutely fascinated! They loved creating shiny waves on foil, painting real seashells, and splashing colour onto a giant shark. 🦈🌊

It’s been a truly wonderful day of creative discovery and sensory play. ❤️
