Earlier this month, we were thrilled to welcome members of the Bob Stanier Legacy Society for a special 10th Anniversary event.
With a special Archive display, mini lessons taught by MCS teachers and a lunch at St Hilda's (overlooking School Field!), it was a memorable event and an opportunity to thank those who choose to leave a gift to MCS in their will.

Last week, we were delighted to be joined by expert entrepreneurs from the school community for the first Enterprise Pitch and Supper. Pupils from the Lower Sixth and Upper Fourth pitched their business ideas to a room full of professionals, giving excellent networking opportunity for pupils and guests alike.
It was great to see so many OWs who left MCS from 1962-2021 in attendance! A thank you to the parents and OWs who were a part of this event for sharing their expertise.

Yesterday, we were delighted to see Malcolm Crick (1977) visiting us from Austria. Malcolm is pictured with Alexis Thompson, Head of Philanthropy, and Alan Cooper, Director of Alumni Relations.
Alan holds the cover of a button from the control room for Unit 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This was given to Malcolm in 1990, when he was one of the experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who visited the site to validate information reported about the accident and its aftermath.
This Sunday, 26 April, marks the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, making Malcolm's visit particularly poignant. His work as part of the IAEA team played a vital part in how the world came to understand and learn from one of the most significant events of the twentieth century.
