“Engage your core” doesn't mean “suck your stomach in”.

In yoga, core engagement is more about creating steady support around your middle — enough that your spine, pelvis and breath can work together.

Think:
softly firm, not rigid.
supported, not gripped.
breathing, not bracing.

A good start is actually to imagine tucking your pelvis down and in.

Your core is not there to make your body smaller.
It is there to help you move with more support, stability and ease.

Here’s what we did in class — save it for your next home flow.

A combination of breath, balance and strength.

Take what you need for your practice 🤍

Move with your breath, take what you need, and let the shapes meet you where you are today.

Warrior 3 can feel hard because it’s not just a balance pose.

It asks for strength, control, focus, hip stability, core engagement, and a surprising amount of patience from the standing leg. Casual.

So if Warrior 3 feels wobbly, awkward or impossible right now, you’re not doing anything wrong — it just helps to build towards it in stages.

Save this one for your next practice, and remember: wobbling is not failure. It’s feedback.
