For EVERYONE of ALL abilities, whether you would like to try out for one of our two BUCS league teams (competing at dressage and jumping); enjoy riding as a hobby, or are looking to try something new. With weekly riding opportunities for everybody and regular socials, Brookes Equestrian is a society that enjoys the best mix of sport and socials! NO NEED FOR YOUR OWN HORSE as all competitions are run on riding school/borrowed horses and judged on riding style rather than the ability of the horse. There are also opportunities for more advanced riders to compete international within Student Riders GB.

💖🎀 You CAN Sit With Us... But Only If You’re Wearing Pink! 🎀💖

This week’s social is giving main character energy... 👀

🗓️ Wednesday 7th October
💗 Theme: On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

“On Wednesdays we wear pink.” Well... who are we to argue? 💅

Whether you’re living by “What, like it’s hard?”, arriving with the confidence of “It’s good to see me, isn’t it?” or wanting everything to be “fabulous!”, this is your chance to embrace your favourite pink icon and go all out! 🌸✨

💖 Pink outfits from head to toe
🎀 Bonus points for the most iconic character inspiration
💅 Remember... fetch is definitely happening

So, raid your wardrobe, borrow from your friends, and don’t be afraid to be pretty in pink. The brighter, bolder and more outrageous, the better!

Because one thing’s for sure... you CAN sit with us. 😉

🚨 Committee expansion alert! 🚨

Everyone give a huge Oxford Brookes Equestrian welcome to Meg, our brand new Recreational Riding Secretary! 🐴💖

Meg’s role is all about helping our recreational riders get back in the saddle by pointing you towards a local riding school, helping organise transport, and making riding as easy (and as stress-free) as possible for everyone ✨

If you’re looking to get in the saddle without the BUCS chaos, Meg is your go-to person! Whether you’re a complete beginner, haven’t ridden in years, or just fancy escaping uni stress for a horsey fix, she’ll be making sure there’s something for everyone 🩷

Please join us in giving Meg a warm welcome (and maybe a strong coffee). We promise we didn’t bribe her with ponies... probably 🤭
