With knife crime on the rise, these workshops offer a vital opportunity to engage with youth, raise awareness about the dangers, and guide them toward making positive choices to stay safe.

Martial arts changes people’s lives. As an instructor, I am very proud that I can have a small impact on people’s lives. I get excited at gradings, always mentally…and sometimes physically…willing the students to do their very best. I get more emotional at the end than most of the students. That is only because I am proud of your journey, as well as the grading itself. So, well done to all my students that graded be proud of yourself.

I had the please of teaching these lovely ladies self-defence. Feeling confident in your ability to protect yourself empowers you to live with less fear and more FREEDOM.
The aim of self-defence is not to learn how to overcome an opponent but rather to defend and to provide a means of escape. For a woman in a dangerous situation, this could mean the difference between life and death.
Self-defence classes teach you to remain situationally aware of your surroundings. How to notice problems that may become a greater issue if ignored and how to avoid a conflict altogether.

Did you know that 1 in 4 women experience sexual violence while at university?
Living away from home for the first time and living and studying independently can be a big step for many young people. For women especially, this can be a time when they are the most vulnerable.
This 4 week course is held at Corpus Christi College for all women especially female university students. Contact me for further details and to book your place.
