🚶♂️⛰️ Ever wanted to push the limits of your comfort zone? or get paid to climb next to 6000ft cliffs?
Well, a group of Students have recently been on an overseas Adventure Training expedition to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Italian Dolomites.
They visited the north, central and east ranges of the Dolomites, exposing the group to high-altitude environments, pushing themselves beyond their known limits.
The group took on routes with various levels of difficulty, allowing them to get to grips with new skills and “learn the ropes”, no pun intended!
If this looks like something you would like to take part in, then apply TODAY to OUAS using the link in our Bio or search University Air Squadron.

Five OUAS Students made their way to RAF Coningsby for a force development trip. This involved a visit to the BBMF Squadron to learn the history behind each of the aircraft in their fleet. This was followed up by a tour of 29 SQN, the Operational conversion Unit for Typhoon, and a up close tour of the aircraft. As part of this unique experience RAF sponsored students went on to learn more about their future trade, whilst the remainder of the party were given an informative tour of the Air traffic control facility at Coningsby.
A massive thanks to the station for hosting us!

Over three days, students travelled from RAF Benson to Lincoln for a Force development trip. They stopped off at the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, and Newark Air Museum to explore the history, impact, and the legacy of RAF Bomber Command.
Through a series of student-led stands, they examined the evolution of air power, the challenges faced by wartime aircrew, and the lessons that continue to shape the RAF today. An excellent opportunity to combine force development, leadership, and military history in a highly engaging environment.
