Last Sunday we kicked off term with a welcome social for freshers at the Oxford Robotics and Additive Manufacturing Society, showcasing what we’re building and meeting lots of new faces.

We demoed Qronk, our quadruped robot, and our robot arm project, talked through the engineering challenges behind them, and shared how students can get involved – whether you’re completely new to robotics or already deep into control, CAD, or coding. We also showed off our new 3D printers from ELEGOO, which will be powering rapid prototyping and custom parts for our projects this year.

Missed the event but want in? You can still join the society here:

We’re really looking forward to seeing more people get involved over the term – stay tuned for project updates, build sessions, and upcoming events!

Innovation in Action at OxRAM!

At OxRAM, we’re always pushing the boundaries of robotics and 3D printing. Right now, we’re running two exciting projects:
A robot arm designed to play chess with precision and flair.
A quadrupled robot, with a brand-new leg design currently being printed.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art printers from our sponsor ELEGOO, our projects are advancing faster than ever. Just look at how smoothly the robot arm moves – flawless performance in action! And the quadrupled robot team is already experimenting with new designs, all made possible by the top-notch print quality of ELEGOO printers.

We can’t wait to share the next stages of development. Big things are coming!
