The Oxford Nursery is a small chain of family run daycare centres across Oxfordshire (Summertown and Eynsham). The nursery has a separate baby cot ‘sleep’ room.

The Oxford Nursery Summertown is situated in North Oxford, on The Marston Ferry Road, in Summertown, between Cherwell School (South Site) and The Swan School. The location is well situated for Oxford university as well as The John Radcliffe Hospital and A34 to M40

This nursery is registered for 76 children aged 0-8yrs. This Nursery offers full or part time day care as well as after school care and Holiday care. Oxford Nursery Summertown benefits from two gardens; one sand garden we like to call ‘The Beach’ and a second area with safe, durable artificial grass and mud kitchen. We also have an allotment area for growing vegetables in the grass garden as well as raised beds for flowers. The children play in all the rooms but have dedicated base rooms specific to their ages. ‘The Quod’ is our Scholar’s home base where we often come together for the children to join up for group story and singing sessions. Meals, Breakfast, Lunch and Tea and snacks are prepared freshly on the premises and are served as follows:
Breakfast 8-8:45am
Lunch 11.30-12:15
Tea 3.30-4:15
Snacks 10am, 2pm and 5:45pm

Opening hours are 7:30-6pm Mon-Fri 52 weeks of the year
The Nursery is closed on Bank Holidays and currently closes for 3 training days per Year
This Nursery closes early the last working day before Christmas and New Years Eve.

Ahoy! On Monday we celebrated 'Talk Like a Pirate Day'

Our children had lots of fun dressing up as pirates and wearing pirate themed hats, bandanas, stripes, eye patches and pirate inspired outfits!

We had lots of exciting activities including treasure hunts, creative activities, stories, songs and lots of opportunities to practise our pirate voices!

What a lovely week of singing, dancing and learning through our favourite nursery rhymes!

Our Summertown children have enjoyed joining in with familiar songs, learning new rhymes, using actions and movements and exploring lots of fun activities by their favourite characters and stories.

Our Summertown children have been exploring the amazing topic of 'All About Me', celebrating what makes each of us unique and special.

Through lots of activities, conversations, stories and creative experiences, the children have been learning more about themselves, their families, their interests, feelings and all the things that make them who they are!

At our Eynsham setting we have been learning all about me!

We have learnt all about ourselves, who we are and who is important to us in our lives.

We have also been exploring and teaching the children about the community around us.
