A special gift for St Antony’s 75th anniversary.
The College has received a vintage kente stole in honour of Rt. Hon. K.A. Busia, DPhil Oxon, former Prime Minister of Ghana and a distinguished former member of St Antony’s. The stole was presented by his daughters, Abena P.A. Busia and Akosua Busia, on behalf of the Busia Foundation International.
Believed to be around 75 years old – the same age as the College – the kente carries a rich history and deep symbolism. It is now on display in the Old Main Building.

A discovery in the St Antony's archives has uncovered the story of what organiser and former Warden Bill Deakin described as a 'slightly rash experiment'.
After uncovering documents relating to a 1962 conference on Britain and European Resistance, 1939–45, our Archivist traced the story of an event that brought together historians, former resistance fighters and wartime participants from across Europe.
