We rounded up Trinity with our leavers’ concert, Year’s End service, play reading in New College, Oxford cloisters, and our prizegiving ceremony, where we wished our Year 8 boys a fond farewell. They’ve been awarded a host of scholarships, including music, sport, and academic scholarships at Magdalen College School, Oxford, Abingdon School and St Edwards School, Oxford, and 2 music scholarships at Eton College (of which only 8 are awarded each year). We’ll miss them immensely, but we look forward to hearing of their achievements going forwards at their senior schools. Well done, boys!

This week’s fantastic SHTEAM Festival explored the theme of ‘Our Green Planet’ across all subjects!

Alongside themed lessons, we enjoyed fascinating talks and workshops on ageing and senescence; outsmarting our deadliest animals; the history of planet Earth; sustainable farming; recovery in nature; the importance of green spaces; how we fix our climate; sustainable building and architecture; and renewable energy.

Many thanks to all our visiting speakers! The Woodland Trust, Bright Sparks Science, Drax Group UK, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, Ceres Rural Sandy Lane Farm

On their recent tour of China, the choristers performed to sold-out audiences in Beijing and Shanghai, with a programme that included an ABBA classic!

Between concerts, they explored palaces, museums, ancient towns, and the Great Wall, where they staged an impromptu gig. An unforgettable trip, and a wonderful experience for these young musicians!
