Hello, everyone, the time has come to announce the new committee for next year..
I would like to personally say thank you to everyone who has been with me from the start (3years ago) as well thank all the newcomers and I hope, that with help from the committee, we have made everyone's uni year.
I had 3 big aims when I joined committee 2 1/2 years ago. These were:
1. Get a coach. @Julie Peachy has done a great job in providing professional training for us over the last 2 years! (Weirdly Julie used to coach me when I was like 12 haha)
2. Make the club more social and sell more tickets than ever.
3 (most importantly) I wanted to make sure the Freshers had something to remember.
Now we a coach, we sell 35tickets on the reg. (btw, on some occasions we have been the 2nd highest selling club at Brookes) we're also the fastest growing club at Brookes. We went from around 12 active members to now having over 45.
Seeing a lot of the Freshers enjoy themselves has filled me with joy and I can honestly leave knowing that I have done the best I could have done and I'm honored to have lead you guys for the last 2 years. Hearing all the story's from fish has been amazing. So I appreciate everyone who has made this happen.
Squash without a doubt has been my proudest achievement.
Also, I have spoken with the committee coming in, I know that the club will be left in good hands. So! Enough about me being soppy and crying about this hahaha (This Really Isn't the way I had imagined handing over the committee)
Committee next year is as follows:

Hello Everyone, So this is going to be a lengthy message so enjoy. But please read, lots and lots of important information in here.
Sooo without future or do…
First off Committee handover dinner
Due to the coronavirus we are having to move our committee handover dinner to the 25th… this is final and will not change. Its not but due to a fair few reasons we are having to Move it. On behalf of the committee I apologize for the confusion but believe there are reasons are we are setting plans to make this bigger and better than ever. So it wont be a night to miss. _This is the pres for Fishies so ticket s will be sold there_ Depending on time Ill also find somewhere for after Malikas. SO get battered at Malika’s and head to fish. I cant wwaiiittt. (ask anyone from last year and they'll confirm it)
Heres an explanation of what committee handover is...
It's a dinner where everyoone gets to see the potential new committee. So each candidate will have to do a speech so everyone in the squash club can see each candidates' potential for each role and convince everyone why they should be chosen for each role. After dinner, the voting will be opened for everyone and then the committee will be announced at the next fish sooo choose wisely!!!
_Alcohol_
We will have discounted wine and hopefully beer. So no excuse to get battered before fish and celebrate the possible new committee. Canny wait.
