This week we did a magical fizzy lemon science experiment! Take some baking soda, or what we call ‘bicarb,’ and sprinkle it onto the lemon ( we just added some food colouring for fun). When the baking soda meets the lemon juice, it starts to FIZZ and FOAM like crazy! 💁🏼‍♀️ This happens because the lemon juice and baking soda are mixing together,

and they create something called carbon dioxide—

that’s the gas that makes all those cool bubbles!

This is called a chemical reaction. The bubbles are carbon dioxide escaping, and that’s what makes the fizzy foam! 🍋🧪

A HUGE thank you to Your Dentist in Thame for visiting the children today and teaching them all about the importance of looking after their teeth. It was a fun and informative session, and the children loved it! 🤩

What a Saturday to remember! 🙌🏻🫀 First aid training like never before! We laughed and we learned. After all my years of first aid courses, I can honestly say this was THE BEST one yet. The energy, the knowledge, the hands-on practice, it was next level.

It’s a powerful reminder that you’re never too old to learn something new. 💪

What a Term! 💕

This term has been one of the toughest since opening Roots. The pressure has been real ! 😅

But I couldn’t have made it through without my amazing family—thank you for your endless support. ❤️

We wrapped up the term with a very special visit, and it’s moments like today that make all the hard work so worth it.The kids’ faces (and the teachers’ too!) said it all! 😍

We had the most adorable classroom guests—alpacas!🦙💕 I absolutely love animals, and what an incredible experience for the children. Oh, and don’t worry—they were fully potty trained. Phew! 🙌 🚽

Safe to say, an alpaca has officially made it onto my Christmas list. 🎄🎁

🎉 What a day! 🎉
We celebrated 5 amazing years of Roots Thame, with both Rachel and Charlotte having been with us from the very start.
To mark the occasion, we took a trip to London in style – catching the Moulin Rouge show 💃 and even getting a character sketch done at Piccadilly Circus 🖼️.
It’s been incredible working alongside these amazing teachers, and seeing how much we’ve all grown together 🌱.
What a team we make, combining each other’s strengths to create something truly special 💪❤️.
Rachel and Charlotte – thank you for everything you do! 🙏 Here’s to many more years of laughter and success! 🎂🥂 (And remember, if we can survive a character sketch, we can survive anything! 😂🖌️)

How the year has flown and it’s time for us to say goodbye to some of our pupils . They are ready to start the next part of their learning journey in Reception Year from September. We have cared for, taught, loved, nurtured and got to know them all so well.

We are so excited for their next steps but sad to say goodbye to our wonderful times with them.

I’m so grateful to the amazing Roots Team who work with me and for all that they have done to prepare the children for their next adventure. I couldn’t have asked for more 💗🥰

We hope you love your bears and remember all of the fun times we have had together at Roots 🧸 🌈

It’s time to fly now little ones…..we have given you your Roots 🌳 take care and we know that you will make yourselves so proud ❤️

The children had an amazing time today meeting our special guest—a tortoise! 🥳🐢 A huge thank you to Ruby's mum for bringing him in! 🙏❤️

Fun fact: Did you know tortoises can live over 100 years? That's older than our great-grandparents! 😲🎂

🌟🌼 A Heartwarming Visit to Cuttle Brook Care Home! 🌼🌟

The wonderful children from Roots recently visited the lovely residents at Cuttle Brook Care Home, and it was an absolute blast! 🎉👵👶

🍰✨ The kids and residents teamed up for a delightful baking activity, whipping up some scrumptious cupcakes and getting creative with the decorations! Sprinkles, frosting, and smiles everywhere! 🌈🍭

🎨🐦 They also enjoyed an artsy time painting birdhouses and planting vegetable seeds in the garden. The joy and laughter shared between the generations were truly magical! 🌱🎨

One of the cutest moments? A little girl stuck a sticker on her nose to make everyone laugh, and it worked! 😂❤️ Seeing the residents light up with joy was priceless.

It's these special interactions that make such a difference in our community. 💖🏡

🌟 Wow, what a special day we had together celebrating our amazing planet! 🌟

👀 We gathered around for a group time filled with fascinating pictures of our beautiful world. 🌎 We talked about how we can all be superheroes by taking care of our Earth and keeping it clean and green! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

🌱 Then, it was time for some hands-on fun! We set up super cool tuff tray activities where we got creative making art worlds, played with animals in play dough and even pretended to be little gardeners planting seeds! 🌱💧

🌿 And guess what? Everyone got to plant their very own cress seeds in adorable little pots to take home! 🌱🏡 Remember, as your cress grows, so does your love for our planet! 💚

🌈 Let's keep spreading kindness to our Earth every day, because together, we can make a BIG difference! 🌟 Happy Earth Day, everyone! 🌍💖

Today is my best day of the year at Roots 💚🥰🐑 The lamb visit we do every year. The children loved feeding them and giving them cuddles🍼 🥰 How can you not fall inlove ? 🐑 baaaa

We can gain knowledge from books- knowledge is something no one can ever take away from you. 🧠
