Who are we: A group of students, researchers, and alumni of the University of Oxford building a network to promote education development. We believe the learning that occurs when students of diverse backgrounds and perspectives collaborate is an indispensable part of a well-rounded university and secondary school education. Oxford Global aims to provide those learning opportunities to students within a stimulating environment by organising conferences, summer courses, programs, and events. At GlobalVoices 2026, COP31 will ask delegates one of the biggest questions in climate diplomacy: what does meaningful climate action actually look like? 🌍

The committee’s topics will take delegates from the immediate threat of rising seas for Pacific Island States to the bigger question of whether net zero is ambitious enough for the future of climate policy.

Expect big questions around responsibility, fairness, ambition, and what governments are truly willing to commit to in the face of climate change. 🌱

COP31 is a large, single-delegate committee open to delegates of all experience levels.

OG’s busy summer continued with a return to Chongqing for another unforgettable week of MUN, workshops, cultural exchange, and exploring one of China’s most remarkable cities. 🏙️

From helping first-time delegates build confidence in research, public speaking, and debate to committee sessions, expert lectures, and cross-cultural activities, it was brilliant to see delegates grow throughout the programme. 🚀

A huge thank you to WELAND International, Chongqing No.8 Secondary School, our directors, and every delegate who made the week such a success. ⭐️

In this committee, delegates will represent individual Members of Parliament as they take on two major debates shaping the UK today. 💬

From the challenge of reducing national debt while protecting public services 📉 to the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the creative industries 🎨, delegates will need to balance competing priorities, build support, and argue for practical solutions.

With a parliamentary format and plenty of room for negotiation, this committee is a great choice for delegates interested in politics, public policy, economics, and current affairs. 💷
