We still have our Victorian bookplate (from around 1860), in it's original, velvet lined case. You may recognize the bookplate from some items in our collections!

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our 'illustrations' Rarities Revealed. We loved sharing the beautiful moth endpaper from a 1903 German translation of Wilde's Salome. We also displayed the first illustrated edition of Milton's Paradise Lost, from 1688.

The sun is out, so quiet book club is outside today from 11-12! Please feel free to use the picnic blanket and any of the books 🌞📖

Our next 'Rarities Revealed' exhibition will take place next Wednesday. We are excited to showcase illustrations from our Special Collections, including the first illustrated edition of Milton's Paradise Lost (1688)
