🎓 Celebrating Otto’s journey with EMBS!

After spending the past year with us on placement as part of his Social Work degree at Oxford Brookes University, Otto has now graduated from EMBS and we’re delighted to share some of his reflections on his time with us. 💙

In this reel, Otto talks about what made his placement so meaningful: the relationships he built with our students and teachers, the experiences he gained, and a culture where everyone matters and no one is left behind.

It’s been a pleasure having Otto as part of the EMBS community over the past year. We’re incredibly grateful for the contribution he has made to our students and team, and we wish him every success as he takes the next step in his social work journey. 🌟

Congratulations, Otto! 🎉

July, you’ve been one to remember. 💛✨

What a month it’s been! From making unforgettable memories on our trip to Bournemouth 🌊, to treating our Banbury students to a cinema day in Milton Keynes 🎬, and celebrating in style at the most incredible Prom 💃🕺 our staff enjoyed punting in Oxford and enjoying moments with nature to reconnect, every week has been filled with smiles, laughter, and memories we’ll treasure.

To our amazing staff and students, thank you for making July so special. As our teachers enjoy a well-deserved summer break, we’re taking a moment to reflect on everything we’ve shared together.

Here’s to new adventures, exciting opportunities, and making even more amazing memories.

Staff Training Days 2026 🤍

Our Staff Training Days are always a chance to learn, reconnect and prepare for the year ahead, but this year also brought some bittersweet moments as we said goodbye to some truly incredible members of our college community.

A heartfelt thank you to Mustafa, Ilana, Owen, Nadege, Charmian, Shanay, Daanish, Abbos, Roland and Raz. Each of you has made a lasting impact on our students, colleagues and the college as a whole. Your dedication, compassion and hard work have helped shape so many lives, and your legacy will continue long after you’ve gone.

We’d also like to congratulate Otto, Aarayah, Annmary and Georgia, who have successfully completed their social work placements with us. Thank you for your commitment and the positive difference you’ve made during your time at the college. We wish you every success in your future careers.

To everyone moving on to their next chapter, thank you for everything you’ve contributed. You’ll all be greatly missed, and we hope this isn’t goodbye, just see you soon. 💙

Once part of the family, always part of the family.

As another incredible term comes to a close, our team took some well-deserved time to slow down, reconnect, and reflect. 🌿💚

Over the last two days of term, our staff embraced the healing power of nature as part of our end-of-year celebrations. On Thursday, we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon punting along the beautiful River Thames in Oxford, and today we explored the great outdoors on a guided nature walk led by Chris.

These moments gave us the opportunity to unwind, reflect on the year that’s been, and appreciate the importance of wellbeing, for ourselves, just as we encourage for our students.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes sneak peek of our wonderful team enjoying nature and therapy in action.

Stay tuned to see what else we got up to as we wrapped up another fantastic year together!
