🌟Huge Congratulations to Khondamir!👏

Khon has officially completed his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award after a challenging 5-day assessment in the Brecon Beacons—hiking 20km per day alongside 20 students from d'Overbroeck's.

Fasting for Ramadan throughout the expedition made the challenge even tougher, but Khon's resilience, leadership, and navigation skills stood out. The BXM assessors were so impressed that he was entrusted with guiding less experienced students to camp each day!

With this achievement, he has now completed all aspects of his award, including a volunteering trip to Africa, and he will soon be receiving his Gold Award at the palace from the Duke of Edinburgh himself! 🎖️

🌍 Diplomacy in Action at Oxford Sixth Form College!

After an inspiring experience at the Madrid MUN, our students were eager to keep the momentum going—so they hosted their very own internal MUN conference! Over two and a half days, 13 students tackled climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7, 14, and 15.

From intense negotiations to unexpected alliances, our delegates debated, drafted resolutions, and built coalitions, ultimately passing a unanimous resolution on the final day.

👏 Special congratulations to Joseph Stankovski (Saudi Arabia) & Gabriella Ribeiro-Guedes (USA) for winning Outstanding Achievement Awards, with honourable mentions to Khondamir Kadirov (UK), Andres Mier Alvarez (Turkey), and Liv Pitts (China).

A massive thank you to our incredible Deputy Chairs, Saveliy Golavanov & Melisa Somaklar, and to Eli Ertel for the Admin Support!

Our BTEC students put on a fantastic fundraising event this week, to raise money for REACT Disaster Response, whom they had previously invited to college to speak about their volunteering work.

For this games-themed event they provided board games, set up a Xbox on the TV screen in Reception and even had a little food stall where patrons could buy sandwiches, drinks, snacks and more.

This was a fantastic show of entrepreneurialism and a creative way to raise money - encouraging staff and students to part with their cash by simply providing a fun an relaxing environment. Well done everyone!

It's ! Students and staff were given the opportunity to buy lots of delicious cakes and treats yesterday, at an event organised by our Student Council. The bake sale raised money for Comic Relief, which is celebrating its 40th birthday. Sadly, our College community didn't go as far as posing with the famous red noses, but they seemed to enjoy the cakes!

We were privileged to have two representatives from come to the college this week to hold a masterclass for our Business, Economics and BTEC students. The session encouraged our students to consider different aspects of business, including the importance of understanding organisational culture. We see Oxford Sixth Form College students gain entry to Hult every year, so we were delighted to host their team.
