Skadden is one of the largest and most prestigious firms in the world, with this high status matched by a supportive environment. A small intake of trainees gets involved in real work from day one, but they are never given something they can’t handle. The firm specialises in a variety of different practice areas: from mergers and acquisitions to litigation and international arbitration. Current lawyers praise the diversity of the work, and the fact that no two days are the same. The work is challenging, and that’s why trainees find that their skills significantly improved by the end of their contract, coming out strong in the face of setbacks. When not focusing on commercial or corporate law, Skadden has a strong commitment to pro bono, with the firm completing over 2 million hours of pro bono work in 10 years.

Cannot go unmentioned that Emma Wilson was named 'Best Speaker' in Round 2 of Mooting Cuppers. A great achievement!

A second victory for Keble in inter-collegiate mooting cuppers!

Emma and Isaac were up against a strong side from Pembroke College, yet right through from their skeleton arguments to responding to questions from the bench, the Keble team came out ahead.

We look forward to proceeding to the next ground of the competition, and will be sure to update you on future progress.

Congratulations Emma and Isaac!

The Harris Society are very proud to announce that the Keble team (Emma Wilson and Issac Powers) have been victorious in the first round of inter-collegiate mooting cuppers.

The pair were up against a strong side from New College, yet right through from their skeleton arguments to responding to questions from the bench, the Keble team came out ahead.

We look forward to receiving the next moot problem, and will be sure to update you on future progress.

Congratulations Emma and Issac!

The Harris Society are proud to announce that Emma Wilson and Isaac Powers will be Keble's entry to the 2021-22 University of Oxford Maitland Chambers Inter-Collegiate ("Cuppers”) Mooting Competition.

Emma and Isaac were the victorious mooters in an internal moot competition, hosted by the Harris Society, for the purpose of selecting Keble's entry into inter-collegiate mooting cuppers.

The pair excelled in the internal competition, as judged by Professor Edwin Peel, and we have no doubt that they will continue to do Keble proud in cuppers.

Best of luck to them both, and updates to follow!
