Who would you like to see on the walls of LMH? 🖼️
'Portraits of LMH' is an evolving exhibition of portraits displayed in the College’s Deneke Corridor. Together, the portraits tell a story about the people who have shaped the life and character of the College or made their mark in the wider world.
As we approach the College’s 150th Anniversary in 2028-29, we are expanding the exhibition to include a broader range of individuals connected to LMH. This next stage reflects an intention to represent more fully the many different ways people contribute to the College community.
Find out more and submit your nomination for a portrait here: www.lmh.ox.ac.uk/portraits-lmh-who-will-you-nominate đź”—
Nominations will close at 5pm on Friday 23 October 2026.

🗞️ LMH students Robin Wopalenski (2023, MPhys Physics) and Kiefer Lim Yi Heng (2023, MPhys Physics) helped their team to second place in the UK and Ireland round of international physics competition PLANCKS, before securing third place at the international final in Eindhoven.
“The opportunity to travel, meet other students from around the world, compete in PLANCKS and prove yourself is very special,” Robin said. “Without the College’s support, we wouldn’t have gone to the final.”

🗞️ LMH’s Yvette Young (2024, Jurisprudence) and Syed Adil (2024, MSc Taxation) were part of the Oxford team that finished runners-up in the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Competition Law Moot.
The team of three, which also included Sum Lau, a Visiting Student at St Catherine’s College, was one of 45 teams from around the world to enter the competition. After submitting written memorials, Oxford qualified for the oral rounds as the only UK team among the top 12.
For Yvette and Syed, the result marks a strong international showing, and a successful end to six months of research, writing and practice alongside tutorials, exams and training contract applications.
