Well done to pupils and staff at Teddies for the incredible amount raised for ! ✨
Pupils and staff ran a total of 191km around the Quad this month, managing to raise a total of £2,215, as well as over £1,400 just from the Segar's boys themselves (pictured with their mighty moustaches)!
👉🏼Laith: “I’ve noticed around school that people are normalising chat around the issues of men’s health, which is exactly what the charity aims to do.”
The girls in Avenue have also been rowing and running to raise money, with a total distance of 50k completed! 👏🏼
Well done to all those involved! You’ve smashed it! 🏃Movember UK

Yesterday afternoon, Julie Curtis, a Professor of Russian Literature at Oxford University spoke to Fifth Form students studying Chekhov's 'The Cherry Orchard' for their IGCSE World Literature module. 📚
George Groves, Segar's Fifth Form writes:
'We were very lucky to have Professor Julie Curtis, Oxford University, come speak to us about Chekhov and his play ‘The Cherry Orchard’.
This was very useful for us as we gained more background on Chekhov’s life and work, which will help us deepen our understanding of the play from our English lessons. Professor Curtis gave us real insight into Chekhov's motives for his creation of ‘The Cherry Orchard’ and his other works. She also helped us understand more about the key characters in the play; especially Mrs Ranevsky and Lopakhin.'

As one of the Oxfordshire Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets, Sjt Ben Parshall was on hand to greet the Duke of Edinburgh during his recent visit to Chipping Norton Theatre.
According to Ben, HRH was sorry to hear that he would be missing double Psychology!
Thanks to Felicity Fox for capturing the moment with these wonderful photos 📸
