Papadakis is offering an internship starting from 1st October 2012 for a minimum time of two months. This valuable introduction to the world of publishing involves undertaking a varied and diverse work load on a number of different projects, from editorial, to design, sales and marketing.

Editorial work duties range from assisting with the initial stages of research of a project and helping to oversee its smooth running until completion. In addition to research, you will also be responsible for liaising with authors and contributors, fact-checking and general administration. Design work duties range from assisting with the initial stages of collecting, managing and organising large amounts of visual material, such as scanning, touching up and picture research. You will be working with page layouts and will be liaising with the design director. The internship also involves preparing and sending out sales material to booksellers and sales reps and updating title information. You will also be helping to prepare for upcoming book fairs.
Candidates need to be highly organised, computer literate and able to handle a busy and varied workload.

The combined entity is now one of the largest independent market research companies with offices in the UK, France and Italy.
Based on Oxford Business Park, we work for a wide range of well-known blue-chip clients including Unilever, Mars, Heinz and Reckitt Benckiser, on a huge variety of consumer insight projects.
The Role:
The job of Research Assistant involves supporting the implementation and delivery of these projects, working with data, to produce debrief report presentations, generating and checking Powerpoint charts, and providing general admin support to members of the research team.
Candidate requirements:
· Flexible, well-organised, with good project management skills, ability to plan and manage timelines / workloads
· Proven experience handling research data would be useful – must be comfortable with reading data tables
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
