We look forward to welcoming our 2026 Summer School cohort this August! Each year, Wadham runs five-day residential summer schools for Year 12 pupils in UK state schools or sixth-form colleges. We'll be introducing this year's Classics, Modern Languages, and Climate Change groups to Oxford and Wadham, where they will take part in academic programmes, live in College, meet student ambassadors studying at Oxford, and receive information, advice and guidance on applying to university.

Polo/PLK1 phosphorylation relieves Centrosomin/Cnn autoinhibition to promote centrosome scaffold assembly - The EMBO Journal 10/08/2026

'Polo/PLK1 phosphorylation relieves Centrosomin/Cnn autoinhibition to promote centrosome scaffold assembly', co-authored by Isaac Wong, our Junior Research Fellow in Medical Sciences, is published in the EMBO journal:

Polo/PLK1 phosphorylation relieves Centrosomin/Cnn autoinhibition to promote centrosome scaffold assembly - The EMBO Journal Mitotic centrosome maturation requires Polo/PLK1-dependent expansion of the pericentriolar material (PCM). In Drosophila, Centrosomin (Cnn) assembles a scaffold around mitotic centrioles through interactions between its PReM and CM2 domains. Here, we show that PReM adopts an autoinhibited helical ha...
