Join Africa Oxford Initiative Visiting Fellow Felix Ajiola for Dangerous Fieldwork: The Challenges of Researching Crime in Lagos, an exploration of the realities of conducting fieldwork on crime in one of Africa's largest cities.
Drawing on his research experience in Lagos, Felix will discuss the practical, personal and ethical challenges of conducting fieldwork in complex and sometimes dangerous settings.

📢 Call for Applications: Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Postdoctoral Fellowships
Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) welcomes applications for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme.
OSGA Internal Application Process
Before submission to the funder, all applications must undergo internal selection. Interested candidates should submit an Expression of Interest form by 4 June or 30 June 2026. Link to form: https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/oxford/2026-marie-sklodowska-curie-postdoctoral-fellowship-ex
Submissions will be evaluated by the OSGA Research Committee on two cut-off dates: 5 June 2026 and 2 July 2026.
Eligibility:
✔️ PhD awarded by the deadline
✔️ Max. 8 years of research experience post-PhD
✔️ Must not have resided/worked in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 3 years
✔️ If your MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposal (with the same host organisation and researcher) scored below 80% in the previous call, it is not eligible for resubmission in the following year.
