The Headmaster has returned to the eternal abode (Alam Baqa).
It has been a profound and blessed honor to serve and to witness the luminous journey of His Excellency, the Royal Esteemed Professor Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, over these three precious years.
May his soul rest in everlasting peace, and may his legacy continue to illuminate hearts and minds.

“Happy Christmas”
It'sessentially means celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Therefore, if a Muslim congratulates a Pakistani Christian neighbor or colleague on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ, there is no inherent religious objection that would warrant issuing a fatwa against such an act.
From the Islamic perspective, acknowledging the birth of Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) affirms that he is a created being (ḥādith) and a servant of Allah, whereas the Creator is eternal, self-existent, and absolute. Allah Almighty is free from any notion of fatherhood, sonship, or lineage. The very concept of birth negates divinity; thus, affirming the birth of Jesus inherently denies any claim of him being God or the Son of God. In this sense, there is no religious objection to acknowledging or commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Some argue that Christians congratulate one another with beliefs such as Jesus being the Son of God. However, the firm monotheism (tawḥīd) of Muslims clearly distinguishes them from such beliefs. A Muslim’s faith safeguards them from affirming false doctrines. Within the permissible limits of mudārāt (social courtesy and goodwill), offering greetings can be allowed. However, participating in Christian religious rituals, entering their places of worship for religious purposes, or adopting their religious symbols or slogans under the guise of mudārāt is strictly prohibited.
Any belief or practice that is rooted in polytheism or disbelief remains polytheism and disbelief. Where such elements are present, there is no scope for compromise. Likewise, imitating distinct religious symbols—such as wearing a cross like Christians or adopting specific religious attire associated with other faiths—constitutes religious imitation, which is forbidden and amounts to disrespect toward Islamic beliefs.
