Just before the half term break, Year 1 children had a wonderful time at Cowley Marsh on a plant hunt! 🌿🌼 They explored different wild flowers, matched leaves to learn about trees and discovered more about the plants around us as part of their learning topic.
After all the exploring, they enjoyed a snack in the sunshine before having lots of fun in the park with plenty of climbing and adventures! ☀️🍃🛝
A lovely morning of outdoor learning, discovery and fun for everyone! 💚

Children in Year 3 provided a delightful dinner service for their families. After learning about being of service to others and cooking a range of dishes, this was a fulfilling way to culminate their project for the term. Well done Year 3!

Many thanks to Oxford Golf Club for hosting our Year 3 children. The children learned about how to provide a good dinner service, to help them prep for the running of their own cafe!

Our Year 1 children had a fantastic adventure on their big trip to Isis Lock in Oxford city centre! 🌞🚌
The day began with a bumpy bus ride through Cowley, taking in all the sights along the way. We then met Stuart and Simon from the Canal & River Trust, who taught us all about the history of the Oxford Canal and gave us a brilliant demonstration of how the lock works ⚓️
We were also lucky enough to meet some of nature’s greatest animals, including a beautiful swan family and their adorable cygnet babies 🦢💛
After enjoying lunch together in the sunshine, we headed back to school for even more fun in the afternoon. A wonderful day full of learning, exploring and smiles all round! 😊

Our Year 2 boys took part in their very first U7 festival today 👏
For a team that have never played before, they were absolutely brilliant—giving it their all, scoring some great goals, and pulling off some fantastic defensive saves!
So proud of their effort, teamwork, and positive attitude from start to finish 💜⚽️
A great experience and plenty more to come!

Exciting news for Tyndale - our nursery plans are officially in motion!
Mr Watt spoke to local media:
At Tyndale Community School, Headteacher Matthew Watt said: “The funding will help us expand our plans to open a new nursery for 26 three-four year olds so that up to 16 children as young as nine months will also be able to attend. This will be a phased opening from September 2026.”
He added: “At Tyndale, we want to do all that we can to provide our children and families with support from the earliest possible opportunity.
“That is why, with the help of the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust, we made the decision to apply for additional funding so that we could provide a nursery provision.
“This is something that our community has asked us to do for some time, and we are absolutely delighted to have been successful with our application.”
He added it is an “important milestone” for the school and one that highlights how it is “always seeking to evolve to best meet the changing needs” of the community.
“There will need to be some alterations to our existing building to facilitate this, but this work will not disrupt our existing brilliant children,” he added.
“We will keep people updated as plans progress, but anyone who is interested in finding out more should get in touch.”
