Congratulations to our Student Ambassadors, Anna and Felicia, who are representing OIC at the NAE Student Summit in support of UNICEF!

Selected in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, and commitment to making a difference, they will join more than 150 students from 50+ schools around the world to explore NAE 2030: Making the Invisible Visible and tackle the important challenge of Sustainable Cities & Communities.

Joining them is our incredible Outreach Lead, Jenny Bourlakis, who will be supporting students throughout this inspiring global experience.

Just a few weeks ago, these authentic African marimbas arrived at OIC from Botswana. Now, our students are already making music together!

In their very first session, students were performing as a group after just 15 minutes of learning, showcasing the accessibility, energy and collaborative spirit of marimba music. With a full set of five instruments, students are exploring the rich musical traditions of Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa while developing new skills and confidence along the way.

Great to see the levels of participations from our budding medics, vets and dentists yesterday. With almost 30 students immersing themselves in a range of interview experiences, including peer interviews, group discussions, MMIs, and formal interview panels. They gained valuable experience in articulating their ideas, responding under pressure, and presenting themselves with confidence.

Experiences like these help prepare our students not just for university applications, but for a future full of opportunity.

While there is no universal template, strong portfolios tend to take shape differently depending on academic direction. At OIC, students organise their exploration broadly across four academic pathways — not as rigid tracks, but as structured ways of building depth with intention.
