Welcome to the most international graduate community within the University of Oxford!

With approximately 1220 graduate students, the Kellogg Middle Common Room (MCR) is home to one of the largest and most international populations of graduate students at Oxford. Kellogg is one of the most friendly and inclusive colleges at Oxford, and the MCR proudly follows in this tradition. The Kellogg MCR Committee is a group of approximately 10-15 students who liaise between the administrators and fellows of Kellogg College and who play an influential role in shaping student life. The Committee members are democratically elected on an annual basis, and elections take place twice during the year. The MCR Committee aims to facilitate a sense of community and camaraderie among common room members by supporting the needs, interests, and pursuits of Kellogg students throughout their time at Oxford. Over the past year, the Committee has supported bops, sports equipment purchases, and academic programs. It supports Kellogg student Societies as well as university-wide campaigns. The Committee is also meant to promote general student well-being, to serve as a support network as needed and as a vehicle through which to convey student concerns, feedback, and suggestions to the College. The Committee is here to make your experience at Kellogg exciting, fulfilling, and memorable, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of the Committee members at anytime regarding any questions, concerns, or quarries that you may have - we look forward to hearing from you!

Dear all,
Kellogg MCR is organising a collection drive to support relief efforts in Turkey and Syria following the tragic earthquake.

We are collecting these items on 22nd February, Wednesday at Welfare Tea and Cake event at MCR Bar (4 pm to 5 pm) and 24th February, Friday in Common Room (66 Banbury Road, 7:30 to 9 pm). The list has been curated by those directly involved with the collection drive across Oxford. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] for further queries.

You can also support the relief efforts by donating to these trusted and verified NGOs currently working on the ground. The list has been compiled and is being regularly updated by The Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. Season's greetings from the MCR Committee (2022-23)!🎄✨

We hope you had an enriching experience at Kellogg and in Oxford during the first term of this academic year (especially our freshers)! While this term may have turned out differently for everyone, we gently remind you not to measure the term's success or your self-worth with how 'productive' you were throughout the past few intellectually stimulating (at times, taxing) weeks! What's more important is that you made it through the first out of three terms at Oxford! It's time that you sit back, relax and take at least some time off to reinvigorate yourselves for the next term- while the MCR prepares an exciting Term Card for Hilary Term with a plethora of wide ranging events! Stay tuned!

The MCR aims to widen opportunities for positive social interactions and bonding for Kellogg members; to offer more welfare and academic support; and to work towards making your experience at Kellogg a positive one! We have curated a handbook-'MCR Welfare Package' to provide information about a range of welfare and academic support that is available, should you need it during the break or term time.
