Our Business & Entrepreneurship Summer students wrapped up their final week by stepping into the spotlight with an exciting Dragonsโ Den-style challenge!
Tasked with creating their own business idea, they pitched imaginative and well-thought-out ventures, from apps to track food waste and energy consumption, to a giant 'airtree' that filters out pollutants whilst being a tourist hot spot!๐ฒ โป๏ธ
With peers and staff as their audience - with the staff playing the role of dragons - students answered tough questions, defended their business plans, and showed impressive entrepreneurial flair.
Well done to all our young innovators for your creativity, teamwork, and courage to pitch your ideas! ๐

Our Art and Digital Design students welcomed artist Julia Thaxton for a workshop recently! ๐จ
Julia introduced her own way of working: responding to nature freely through colour and texture, in an abstract and meditative style. Students gathered materials from the garden to build up textures, patterns and moods on the page, letting nature guide the process rather than plan it.
A brilliant chance to experiment and see art making from a different angle ๐ฟ

It's been another brilliant week on our Summer Teens Courses! ๐
From a mini Olympics and punting along the river to mini golf and arts & crafts, our teens have had plenty to keep them entertained. Study visits took them to the Natural History Museum, Modern Art Oxford, and the Ashmolean, while excursions saw them exploring London, Blenheim Palace, Windsor Castle, Bath, Stonehenge, and Bristol.

Our Art & Digital Design students recently visited Modern Art Oxford, exploring the Kira Freije: Unspeak the Chorus exhibition ๐จ Sketchbooks out, they worked directly from the artworks, studying form, texture, and composition in the gallery spaces.
This visit continues our brilliant partnership with Modern Art Oxford, from curator-led tours to teacher CPD, and it's always fantastic to see our students inspired by contemporary art up close.

Our Summer Junior STEM students have been getting hands-on with science this week! ๐
They started with catapults built from lolly sticks and rubber bands, which were put straight to the test in a classroom competition to see whose plastic ball could fly the furthest. Then it was on to a classic with a twist: baking soda and vinegar volcanoes, and the eruptions did not disappoint! ๐
From engineering to chemistry, our Junior STEM students are exploring science in the best possible way.
