The British liner Herefordshire, of the Bibby Line, is seen laying on the rocky coast of Cardigan Island, Wales, after breaking adrift from tugs which were taking her to the Clyde to be broken up; she was battered by waves, causing her to run aground. Her crew of four lashed themselves to a rope and escaped to the island, from which they were later rescued. March of 1934.
