We were honoured to host Maj. Gen. Jonathan Shaw CB CBE and Michael Shipster CMG OBE (FCO) for two fantastic talks on the historical and geopolitical development of the contemporary Middle East. The talks were followed by a spirited discussion with our students.

Nicholas Williams OBE former Head of Ops, Afghanistan, on the Biden administration’s challenges. Ukraine, defending NATO principles. Madrid Summit a reset of core tasks.

We’ve begun our Summer Programme with a plenary lecture by Col. Mark Radford, PhD, Senior Academic Director of the Oxford Diplomacy & Geopolitics Forum. Radford offered a broad geopolitical analysis of present challenges to the rules based international order. From Russia and China to the Pacific Theatre, the Middle East and domestic threats “within the castle.”
