Congratulations to current student Lola and her horse Tibs, who were part of the winning team of the University Polo Championships earlier this month! ๐ŸŽ‰

Lola joined the Oxford Brooke's University polo team after beginning her studies at OMBS, as she wanted to continue riding whilst gaining a higher education qualification.

We're absolutely thrilled she was able to take part in this competition, and even more delighted that her team won.

Read Lola's full story about studying with us and maintaining her passion for equestrian life here..

Just two weeks to go until it's work experience week!

Meet Lola, a keen equestrian who wanted to continue her passion for riding whilst also gaining business skills to set her up for a future business career ๐Ÿ‘Œ

She talked to us about how she's been able to continue riding this academic year while studying with us, and how she's taking part in a prestigious polo tournament this month!

Read it here and forward it to someone you know who has a passion for riding but also wants a higher education solution...๐Ÿ’™

Before young people earn their first salary, they need to know how to manage it.

Last week, our students took part in a financial literacy workshop led by Stephanie Richards, Principal Financial Advisor atRaynham Henderson Wealth Management, designed to equip them with the practical money skills they'll need as they enter the workforce and begin building their careers.

From understanding payslips and taxation to budgeting, saving, investing and managing debt, the session covered many of the financial realities young adults face when entering the world of work.

Topics included:

โ€ข Understanding tax, National Insurance, and take-home pay
โ€ข Reading and understanding a payslip
โ€ข Monthly budgeting and managing expenses
โ€ข Commuting costs and everyday spending habits
โ€ข The realities of renting versus buying property, particularly in London
โ€ข Saving and investing for the future
โ€ข Credit scores, debt, and financial responsibility

The discussions were engaging, thought-provoking and, for some students, eye-openingโ€”especially when calculating how seemingly small daily expenses can add up over the course of a year.

At OMBS, we believe education should prepare young people not only for successful careers, but for life. Alongside professional development and business training, practical financial knowledge is an essential part of that journey.

A huge thank you to Stephanie for sharing her expertise with our students and helping them build habits that will benefit them for years to come.

Did you know that every 14 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer in the UK, and for many of them, a stem cell transplant will be their best treatment option.

Which is why we were thrilled to once again welcome the incredible charity Anthony Nolan into OMBS to talk to our students about taking steps to register as a stem cell donor.

We're delighted to say we had 50 students sign up last Friday morning ๐Ÿ‘Œ

We're often asked what % of our students land jobs following graduation from us...

When we surveyed our 2025 graduates back in January, 97% of them were in employment. Added to this, we have credible employers and recruiters contacting us constantly about job roles, specifically because they really want OMBS graduates.

We can also tell you that from our current cohort -
- 15% have already secured a permanent job role, starting post-graduation
- 30% are actively interviewing for work
- 20% are going on to further academic study
- 20% will take a travel gap year, potentially using the skillset learnt with us to work along the way and fund travels
