University is not the only route to a successful career...

Last year 97% of our graduates were in employment when we surveyed them in the following January and this trend has no signs of stopping.

We've been eagerly reading updates from our July 2026 graduates who have started careers in industries as diverse as finance, property, luxury fashion and more.

Our 1-year Professional Business Diploma is designed around the skills and knowledge young people need to move confidently into employment, including:

IT and Digital Literacy
Business Management
Digital Marketing
Events Management
Personal Development Planning

It is an intensive, highly practical course with ongoing assessment and no exams!

We offer 121 career support with CV and job applications, a week’s work experience, expert support with LinkedIn, networking opportunities via regular Speakers Days and ongoing career development after graduating.

We believe that higher education should prepare young people for what comes next — not just give them a qualification.

Our September 2026 intake starts on Monday 21 September, and a limited number of places are available.

We're continuing to build our relationships with schools across the UK to raise awareness of the Professional Business Diploma.

We can attend Futures, Careers, and Higher Education Fairs to talk to students about our 1-year intensive Professional Business Diploma.

Last academic year, we even had Miranda, an OMBS alumni, visit a school on our behalf 💙

Could your business inspire the next generation of talent?

This year, Jemima Scott, one of our Professional Business Diploma students, spent a week on work experience with Alpine F1 Team, putting everything she'd learned in the course into practice.

Throughout the week, she worked alongside the Marketing team, learning about digital marketing, partnerships, communications, merchandising, hospitality, and brand design. She even helped organise Paddock Passes for the Silverstone Grand Prix, researched future brand partnerships, and explored ideas for exclusive merchandise collections.

She also attended an inspiring panel discussion on Women in Engineering, hearing from senior leaders about their careers and experiences.

Here's what Jemima had to say about the week:

"My overall experience was great. It was so interesting to learn how all the different marketing departments work and to experience what it's really like to work in an office. I now know how useful the skills we've gained at OMBS really are in the workplace."

This is exactly why work experience is such an important part of the Professional Business Diploma. It gives our students the confidence, experience, and practical skills that help prepare them for successful careers after graduation.
