After Maghrib in the month of Dhul Hijjah we have been hearing student led discussions and reminders. In a recent reminder on acts of worship during these blessed days, an extract from al Shatibiyyah was recited, a poem of Imam al Shatibi on the Quran and its recitation.

These verses are a reminder that beyond knowledge and recitation lies dhikr, and it is dhikr that truly nourishes the heart with the remembrance of Allah, keeps the tongue alive through the Quran, and draws the soul back to His words, again and again.

Recited by one of our own students.
