Scurries Dog Training is all about positive, modern training methods, backed by the latest research, that will help your dogs to channel their natural desires.

This approach leads to a more controlled, obedient and relaxed pooch. Our gundog classes are aimed primarily at people with gundog breeds, and although any breed is welcome, an affinity for hunting and retrieving will be a great help. The gundog classes are not suitable for people who want to trial their dogs long term, but they are a good place to begin. Pet dog training in general can also be arranged on a one-to-one basis and behaviour consultations can be arranged when necessary.

We have just had a great weekend away at The Game Fair showing off our skills in the Working Dog Arena as part if The Family Gundog Demonstration Team.
We showed off our Gundog skill as well as our pet dog training and had a great weekend settling while camping, walking beautifully on lead in busy environments and generally being great dogs!

Another fun filled day in the sun!
Today was the end of our current courses but we had the best time hunting, sniffing and retrieving in the sun 😎 all before it got too hot!

Puppy Handling
Making sure our pups are happy and comfortable to be handled and groomed is a vital life skill. From checking them over after a walk for scratches, thorns and ticks to grooming and more intensive vet check overs, the happier our pups are to be handled the easier it is for everyone!
This is something we do in puppy class!

Boundary manners!
This could be car doors, front doors, gates on walks, any sort of boundary! Knowing our dogs aren’t going to barge through the second there is a gap is the important part for our their safety and the safety of everyone around.
This is a skill I teach in Puppy class and in Recall and Loose Lead Walking class.
