Traditional training with modern applications. Covid 19 Update! We have started offering classes in person on Mondays in the South Oxford Community Centre.

We offer Kung Fu class as they have been taught for the past hundred years, adapted to modern living. Whether you want to learn self-defense, become more flexible and healthy, or just want to excercise and meet interesting people, there is something here for you at our academy. Please note that Monday class takes place at a different location: the South Oxford Community Centre in Lake Street.

It is like the outdated and debunked Horseshoe theory of politics. Bad faith actors would use it to pretend there was no difference in your voting choices. That all political parties "are the same".

But it is important to consider scale. If both sides are bad, do you consider that both sides are equally bad? If one person is calling you a bad name, and the other is stabbing you, do you have difficulty recognising one as worse?

The ying yang symbol is fluid, and should be represented as one yielding and the other advancing, creating a circular motion. That doesn't make it a binary. It makes it moveable scale. It makes it an interplay of duality.

Not everything is equal. The devil doesn’t need an advocate.

Learning about logical fallacies, and how we fall into them feels like kung fu for the mind. You are trying to isolate your weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and create techniques to combat them.

This is why don't like when people talk about the "true" way, or the "real" whatever. It seems small minded. The world is vast, the methods expansive. Provided you are still working to excel, you are still doing kung fu.

Let a thousand blossoms bloom.
