One of New College's treasures was displayed in a recent exhibition: this collection of Tudor royal warrants includes a rare signature by the 'Nine Days Queen', Lady Jane Grey. As you can see, 'the Quene' has been scribbled out, likely by someone who did not agree with the teenager's claim to the throne...

Thank you to Leah Duffin, Graduate Trainee Library Assistant, for curating the exhibition, entitled 'Royal Regalia: Signatures, Statecraft, and Sovereignty'

"All of us living on this earth I see are nothing more than ghosts or flimsy shadows."

The Trojan war is in its last year, and the great warrior Achilles has just died. Ajax, furious that Achilles' armour has been awarded to Odysseus rather than to him, has gone out to kill the other Greeks. Follow his descent into madness in Sophocles' Ajax, this year's New College Greek Play.

On this week until Saturday, 8:30-10:30pm. Don't miss it!
