Hi all, can I just check there’s someone on the current committee who is an admin of this page? There are messages appearing from incoming members and it would be a shame if they were missed! Also, I’d like to remove myself as an admin but won’t until I know we won’t lose access. Cheers, Matt Buchan
Christ Church Graduate Common Room
Social hub, study space, home away from home: our GCR forms the nerve centre of the graduate community at Christ Church. News and events will be posted here!
The Graduate Common Room (GCR) is home to the 220-strong community of graduate students at Christ Church. We are one of the oldest such common rooms in Oxford, having just celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2010, and also among the most active. The GCR serves as the social hub of many students’ lives as well as providing valuable study and teaching space.

The GCR hosted a welcome back BBQ for graduates coming back for Trinity Term in Liddell. Although the sun only came out briefly we were cheered by the variety of food on offer and some impromptu games of croquet!

We had the pleasure of hosting Marcia Waters, a professional wine taster and a Master of Wine based at the Oxford Wine Company. She took the GCR through the process of tasting 6 different wines, and the intricacies of pairing wine with food.
