A welfare workshop with an ancient twist!
Led by our Tutor in Old Testament and Hebrew Bible, Dr John Screnock, students and staff learned about cuneiform: a form of writing in clay that used a stylus to make wedge shapes. They practiced writing blessings and names in Ugaritic, the language of a city-state on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, in present-day Syria.
